I bought this exact same model, KG25H3XER, from Costco almost a year ago thinking it was the same as my 15 year old Heavy Duty Professional Kitchenaid mixer, that is still working just fine after all these years. Turned out it wasn't the same mixer at all, i.e. my mistake for not doing some research. And, this turkey sounded scratchy and weird the first time out of the box. Now, it finally died after less than a year and very little use. KitchenAid has some quality problems here and I wouldn't buy this model again. And, I have read other reviews on other sites, and I am not alone with these problems. I may dump it rather than bothering having it fixed.
