Now we can make our KitchenAid mixer even more useful with the meat grinder attachment!! Cleaning it is very easy after quickly disassembling of the meat grinder attachment. Using a cylindrical brush would make cleaning the interior of the attachment easier. No more buying pre-ground meat from stores.
Meat to fat ratio should be 70/30 to get a juicy burger. Use chuck or brisket.

The ooze is happening where the ""fine" grinding plate (extruder) and /or "knife" (four-bladed) presses against the grind worm. I cannot tell if it is the metal wearing away or if it is grease inside the grind worm oozing out. Happens whenever moderate pressure is applied with the food pusher grinding hard cheese. After careful washings and tests, the ooze appears to emerge where the outer square end of the grind worm cylinder meets the round washer on the cylinder. This is totally unsafe and unacceptable, regardless of the source. Calling Kitchenaid tomorrow for a refund. Cheap components made out of tolerance. Should be recalled.

Before using, read the enclosed operating procedures. This attachment is excellent and easy to use for the seasoned cook as well as the beginner, who has recently begun his love affair with food.
I'm one of those folks who can't live without the KitchenAid and can't think how I endured the kitchen without it. This little attachment has SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY on meat because I grind my own beef and pork. Making my own sausage is easy, and I can add the herbs and spices I want.
And, here's something else you may not have thought about: this ground meat does not require crumbling into small pieces when added to a skillet; it automatically crumbles when it touches the skillet - the texture is superb. If you're on the fence about getting this one, get it. You won't regret your purchase.

This attachment is disappointingly small and it takes an inordinate amount of time to grind an appreciable amount of anything.
The construction is very lightweight and I don't expect it to last too long.

this attachment is most easy for use and clean also it makes great ground beef and pork they are much better than you buy from supermarket, because you can chose the meat that you like and ground them in home make the fresh ground meat.
