I bought this to replace the bowl that came with my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. The bowl it came with did not have a handle on the side and that made for messy work when pouring the bowl or trying to grasp it to scrape dough from the inside. I love having the mixing bowl with the handle. I highly reccommend it! As a bonus, I now have two bowls for the mixer and that has proved immensely useful.

This is a great second bowl. Only downside is that the handle isn't rounded on the edge, so if I'm struggling to get the bowl out of the mixer, than my hand gets a bit sore. Otherwise, great.

My classic Kitchenaid mixer is about 25 years new and I never had a problem pouring batter from the original bowl, which had no handle. However, my hands have become weak over the years and recently I almost dropped the entire bowl and batter on the floor - twice. I immediately ordered a bowl with a handle from Amazon and it is wonderful. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the handle is rather thin. Kitchenaid doesn't even make a 4-1/2 qt bowl with the nice ergonomic handle that they offer for their larger machines. However, this is a relatively minor issue. I kept my original bowl as a spare for making something light, such as egg whites or whipped cream, but for batter the handle is wonderful.

Exact bowl I needed for my Kitchenaid mixer. I have the Classic model and my bowl didn't have this handle. It is a nice heavy duty bowl and the handle makes it even better. Same bowl you'd get from the manufacturer. Highly recommend!!!

I bought a kitchenaid mixer, it came with a good metal bowl but I needed one with a handle, since the older I get the weaker I get.
